Update

Its been a long time. Yes I know! I have been insanely busy with work mainly.
Working 12 hour days and traveling back and forth every other week has left me little time for myself.
Even though months have past, I really don't have much to say other than I've honestly been in a creative rut lately. Not much inspiration nor motivation. The days have been going by faster and faster- I can not get over that its about to be Thanksgiving already. However, to get out of my funk- I am planning on entering a contest in New York, the photos are due to be in by November 28th so I don't have much time. So keep an eye out...hopefully you will hear soon that I am on my way to New york, NY =)

Friday night I got to see SUPERNOVA , a new fire performing act in Coconut Grove. They are a very talented crew and did some mesmerizing stunts.

So then on the 4th I went out to the Miami SpeedWay with my little one and mommy dearest to see some fire =works. Having a case of ADD, after 5 mintutes I got bored of shooting the same old firework pictures so I experimented and played around and got these as the result.....

So June has come and gone already......where does time go??? Ofcourse now I have to play catch up because like I warned you- I procrastinate. Not only that but mix in full time job- full time mother and there just isnt enough time in a day, as I am sure many of us feel that way.

So this month for me was not at all lame to say the least. It started of with a road trip to Jupiter with "Shoot Miami" a photography club I am a member of and would suggest any south floridaphotographer, pro and amature alike, to join it cause its bad ass...no it really does get you out of your box to take pictures of place you may not of even thought of going. Like this place for instance. After 26 years living in Florida, I never know this place even exsisted.

 
 
 
 
Then last weekend was my baby girls 4th Birthday. Talk about time flying......

So we went over to Sanibel Island where we got to witness the coolest thing ever.

Now anyone who knows me knows how much I looooove dolphins... and after wathing the documentry " The Cove", I have decided to take the plunge and vow not to visit Seaquariums anymore. Well I must admit it has been hard for me cause I use to love visiting Seaworld and watching the shows, petting the dolphins and giving them all my money. But what I experienced last weekend was far better than a million visits to any attraction. Having a family of wild & FREE dolphins play in the waves from our boat was so fufulling to me and it gave me some great shots too.

 

  

 

Then to top the month off, I met an editor for Crusing Magazine and she invited me out on a Catamran that she was reviewing. It was beautiful to say the least and I fell in love. I really enjoyed photographing it and have decided to persue Nautical Photography more.

Life through my Lens

Ahhh...Finally starting something I wanted to start years ago.

I am such a procrastinator...one of my many weaknesses. As is inconsistency, you will learn this if you actually start to follow my blog. Although I do I try to better myself everyday, I am still but a human, so feel free to send me a note telling me that you'll kick my ass if I don't post something new soon. I can always use a good kick in my rear to get back in to gear =)

My vision for this blog is to have all of you, follow my life through my lens. Hopefully you enjoy not just seeing the photos I capture and admire the progress that it will become but also be able to relate and feel inspired through all the mumbo jumbo I may write with it.

I plan on doing lots more traveling to bring a wide variety for every ones viewing pleasure (hopefully pleasure not pain) but after having to cancel a trip to Costa Rica recently, I had the urge to check at least one thing off my "Picture Bucket List" This is what I go after a few hours late last nite.

Then today, I decided to keep it up and went to Fairchild Tropical Garden, seeing that I've lived in South Florida practically my whole life and had only been there once recently for an art exhibit some of my work was in. Anyways, here are some crazy shots I manipulated to give you a headache =)
